Downstairs Half-Bath Part 1

You may recall this little gem of a bathroom...

There is nothing clean-looking about a greige toilet. Nothing.

You might also recall this desk I would like to turn into a vanity...

This weekend we made it happen... Well, Grant made it happen.

We found exactly zero white porcelain vessel sinks at Home Depot and Lowe's, but we found this one on Amazon.  It's perfect because it's only 13" across, and the desk is 16" deep.  We are loyal to Kohler, so we bought their Cimarron toilet to replace the greige one.

While the toilet and vanity were out of the bathroom,

my mom and I painted the room Benjamin Moore "Sugar Cookie."  It's a very, very light shade of yellow.

I'm really not that enamored with it in this particular room (it brings out the yellow in the floor tile), but it's a nice color. Maybe it's the satin sheen?  I've actually already bought a gallon of Benjamin Moore "White Ice" to cover it up... so I know how I'll be spending my evening.

And this is how it's turned out so far...

I love, love, love the look of the wood on the vanity.

All in a Saturday's work!  Now to accessorize.
