Sweet Home & Clement

Whilst perusing Little Rock's stylish Kavanaugh Boulevard with my friend Tara, I went into a charming house-turned-shop: one half is Sweet Home (owned by John Bell), and one half is Clement (owned by Chris Clement), but they flow together beautifully.

Open since 2000, the shops are filled with architectural salvage pieces, antiques, and unique finds... I can try to describe it, or I can just show you pictures.

I think I need a finial collection now.

Or maybe a globe collection.

Seriously? I love the texture on this antique medicine cabinet.

OOOOOOH! Teapots!

Found more finials! These are wrought iron and maybe used to belong atop fence posts? $5 apiece! I brought them home to be bookends.

All of a sudden, I think I need a new dining table.

Canoe, anyone?

STOP IT, right? I love it too much. I'm sorry to say that it is sold. To someone else. Sad day.

I may have a new favorite place to frequent on Fridays.

For now, Sweet Home/Clement are located at 2909 Kavanaugh Boulevard, but stay tuned because they are moving soon! I will of course be visiting the new spot as soon as I know where it is.  And because I can't keep good antique-ing a secret, I'll pass it on in a future post.

Happy picking!
