The Perfect Fit

I have been in search of two things (well, more than two, but we'll start with these two):  somewhere to hang these cute little blue and white bowls...

... something to put above the newly painted built-ins surrounding the wet bar in the den.

See the space above both built-ins?

I wanted to have two of whatever it was, or at least two things of similar scale.

Then, BOOM! A match was made.

I had to be relatively particular about where the bowls would hang because they are not low profile. Luckily the built-ins are inset a few inches.

Typically, I pick pieces that almost completely fill the space... I've rarely looked at an art piece or wall hanging, and thought,"That looks too big for that wall." I have, however, looked at something and thought it looked too small for the area.  

This time, I did not follow my own rule, but I think these little guys fill in this space quite nicely.
